Thanks to a timely heads-up, I was able to capture this activity in progress. Very cool!
Since 2011 we’ve been sharing this end-of-summer event with our friends and neighbors here in town. It’s a wonderful event, capped off with fireworks. Unfortunately the aircraft I needed for filming the fireworks would up in a tree (yep, all my fault, so no footage of that. Still, this was about people and I tried to get most of them.

Glory rings are created by looking down on water vapor with a strong light source behind the camera. The drone is too small to create a true “Brocken Spectre”, but still an impressive sight.
The FPV flight was just a fly-around at the boat moorings, but still a fun way to spend three minutes. The sky and the water were lovely.

By the time I made it to the exhibition hall, I was running on fumes. I only shot things that caught my attention, so this is only a small sample of the creativity that was on hand. Still, some interesting things here.

The fair hosts a professional art show and sale each year in the Town Hall. It is amazing how much talent we have here in the region!
I wanted to document the show before any pieces were sold and removed, so I was in a bit of a hurry. This is more of a documentary effort than an artistic one. I apologize to any artist whose work I did not reasonably capture. I just felt it was a good thing to do for posterity.

It just amazes me how many local people submit such stunning arrangements each year at the fair. Apologies for the less-than-stellar photos in some cases. Conditions were challenging. I tried to capture every entry but I may have missed some and I didn’t always get perfect shots. Still, there’s an awful lot of gorgeous here.
