Two-fer Wednesday: This morning’s impressive Glory Rings and this afternoon’s delightful FPV flight at Mascoma Lakeside Park. Plainfield and Enfield, New Hampshire 8/26/26
Glory rings are created by looking down on water vapor with a strong light source behind the camera. The drone is too small to create a true “Brocken Spectre”, but still an impressive sight.
The FPV flight was just a fly-around at the boat moorings, but still a fun way to spend three minutes. The sky and the water were lovely.

The stills are OK but the video is pretty awesome. You might have to look closely, but there are a lot of meteors there, especially the second half.
