This little gem of a park is always fun, even on a hot day. See if you can count how many times I bumped into something. I left in one crash shot in the video, but there were several others, as you can imagine.

After my FPV flight ended in disaster, I collected myself and flew some more traditional cinematic style. Perhaps not as exciting as the other stuff, but quite beautiful in any case.

The falls are not really visible from the trail, but the drone reveals all. Much thanks to Allison for the company. She was much braver than I. Stills are below the extremely short video.

As is tradition at the Plainfield School, the last day of the year is a “Field Day” wherein students spend most of the day outdoors enjoying a number of activities. This video shows a bit of the fun, including “playing with drones”, and the concluding event: the Mile Run. Our family has been richly blessed with a long affiliation with this school and I’m delighted to give something back. And I certainly enjoyed making a bunch of new friends!

One of the more beautiful videos I’ve created lately. The school and fields were a first. Not sure how I missed them all these years. The pond and the farm are of course old favorites at this point. Enjoy!
NOTE: the fly-through between the wires at the end was not intentional. I got lucky.

We live in an amazing place where the K-8 school is bordered by a stunning brook, and a spectacular vista is a short but stout climb away. Stills are below the video. Enjoy!

This video is the result of me just wandering around town, flying over what I thought would be interesting places. The first six minutes covers the southernmost portion of the town, including the Elmhurst Historic Home, the train yard, the metal scrap yard (VERY interesting!), and Smalley’s Pond. The last nine minutes (yes, it’s a long one) covers the Connersville High School campus, which includes the Vocational School, athletic fields, and a very impressive solar array. Because it was a gloomy Sunday, I had the entire place to myself, which allowed me to be pretty rambunctious in my flying. Big fun!

The Farmer Music Center, also known as Riverbend 2.0, is a new 20,000-person concert venue being constructed on the site of the old Coney Island swimming pool. It looks like it will be an amazing place to see a show.
