I’ve got several events happening at the Philip Read Memorial Library here in Plainfield, New Hampshire in the next few months. I wanted to get the word out now so folks can schedule as necessary.
First, there will be a screening of my film “A Year at Langwood Farm” on March 23d, 2026 at 6 pm. I will be joined by the farm’s owner Colleen O’Neill to provide commentary and answer questions. The film’s runtime is about thirty minutes and follows the farm using mostly aerial footage over the course of a year. It’s a mesmerizing experience.
Second, I will have a photography show in the PRML community room throughout April and May. Almost all of the images will be from the last year. As I did for the last show, I will probably swap in a few new pieces weekly. All prints are available for purchase.
Third, there will be an artist’s reception on 4/6/26 at 4-6 pm. I will be screening a number of my short aerial videos while giving a brief overview of my “Drone Art” activities, then I’ll answer audience questions. There will be light refreshments.
Fourth, I’ll be hosting a “What does it take to fly a drone in 2026?” seminar. We don’t have a date yet but probably in May some time. This will cover FAA rules, how to check your airspace, when/where to learn how to fly, and aircraft options. I will have several drones on-hand for perusal.
Much thanks to librarian Jim Allen for facilitating these events. I’m really looking forward to them all. More info as we get closer.
