Film: A Year at Langwood Farm

Today is the YouTube premiere of my 2025 film “A Year at Langwood Farm”. Shot in 2024/2025, the film takes a long, loving look at the flora, activities, and some favorite trees and landmarks at the farm. This was a monumental effort that began two years ago and is a meditative snapshot in time. Much thanks to Colleen O’Neill for making this possible. Enjoy!

  1. Thank you for this opportunity to see Langwood Farm in all its glory throughout the four seasons. The tree farm is a gift to the community and state. This production is a work of professionalism, art, work, and love. My father was a forester, planted many acres of trees, leaving a legacy in western NY. I love returning to see how the trees are thriving.

    1. My pleasure Liese! Colleen O’Neill deserves tremendous credit for her amazing stewardship of the farm. Like your father, she is performing an invaluable service.

  2. What a lovely video. I have been so grateful to be able to ride the trails of Langwood Tree Farm over the past few years. It was great to see my friends enjoying a ride for a few seconds in the video! Truly, one of the most beautiful places in the world. Thanks to Colleen O’Neill for her stewardship and her generosity.

  3. Thank you for wonderfully portraying the magnificence of the farm. Such a wonderful place. Cornish is lucky to have this farm and Colleen as steward and neighbor.

    1. Thank you Peter. This project was an honor and I’m delighted that we are sharing it widely now.

At some point (soon hopefully) I will release a director’s cut with narration. The response from commentary at our screenings has been very positive and I think it will add to the experience. Not everyone is familiar with the farm and why we did this, so it should help folks understand what they are seeing beyond just the beauty of the place.
